Tandoori pork steaks
A spicy pork steak dish best served with steamed basmati or pilau rice, raita, crisp green salad and lemon wedges.
- 4 pork loin steaks or pork loin medallions
For the tandoori marinade:
- 100g fat free Greek natural yoghurt
- 4 tablespoons tandoori spice mix
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons oil, for frying
To prepare the marinade, in a shallow dish, mix together all the ingredients for the marinade and season. Add the pork and coat evenly. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 10 minutes, or overnight if time allows.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°fan/Gas Mark 4.
Heat the oil in a non- stick, frying pan, over a medium heat. Add the steaks and cook for 10 minutes, turning once.
Serve the pork steaks with rice, raita, a crisp green salad and lemon wedges.
