About Love Pork
Who we are
The Lovepork website has been created by AHDB Pork, the body responsible for enhancing and supporting the English pig farming industry.
Lovepork.co.uk has been created with the principle aim of providing recipe inspiration to encourage people to cook with pork at home, and to provide information about pork, pork cuts and how healthy pork can be.
AHDB Pork is one of six sectors which form part of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, a statutory levy board funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain. Its purpose is to inspire farmers, growers and industry to succeed in a rapidly changing world, in order to increase performance and stimulate demand for their products.
The Lovepork website supports the Red Tractor mark.
What we do
Previous campaigns include British Sausage Week, an annual celebration of the iconic banger, which over 19 years has helped communicate the versatility and quality of sausages sold in the UK.
The current campaign, showcases pork’s leaner cuts, demonstrating how quick, easy and delicious these lean pork cuts are and how they are perfect for busy people during the midweek struggle.
The Lovepork social media channels work continuously throughout the year to bring recipe inspiration, cooking advice and sometimes a few giggles to consumers who are interested in learning more about pork.
Red Tractor Pork
Red Tractor are the champions of British food, farming and consumer safety and the largest UK food standards scheme. 46,000 Red Tractor farmers, as well as over 800 food producers and processors, work to their world leading standards. They put food and drink on the shelves of the UK’s largest retailers and supply some of the UK’s best-known pub and restaurant chains.
Red Tractor food is traceable, safe and farmed with care because independent inspectors check every step of the food journey from farm to pack. That’s 60,000 checks, each year, all in one place. Which makes life simpler for everyone. Inspections are only carried out by independent companies to ensure they are completely impartial.
2020 is Red Tractor's 20th anniversary and for the last two decades, they have worked tirelessly to drive up standards in food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection.
